Travelling abroad for the first time is exciting — and a little overwhelming. Use this checklist to make sure nothing is missed.
1. Passport
Check that your passport is valid for at least six months from your travel date and has blank pages. If it’s close to expiry, renew it before you book.
2. Visa
Every country has different visa rules. Some offer e-visas or visa on arrival for Indian passport holders, while others need an embassy appointment. Ask us and we’ll guide you on the current process for your destination.
3. Money
- Carry a forex card or an international debit/credit card
- Keep some local currency in cash for the first day
- Inform your bank about your travel dates
4. Phone & internet
Activate international roaming or buy a local SIM / eSIM on arrival. Download offline maps and keep important documents saved on your phone.
5. Travel insurance
Medical treatment abroad can be expensive. Travel insurance covers medical emergencies, lost baggage and trip cancellations — and some countries require it for the visa.
6. Packing
- Copies of passport, visa, tickets and hotel bookings
- Universal travel adapter
- Basic medicines and any prescriptions
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Snacks from home if you have dietary preferences
